Elmy Trevejo, RN, MPH

Clinical and Quality Program Manager

Elmy Trevejo joined Affiliated Pediatric Practices in 2011 as the Clinical and Quality Program Manager. Elmy received her BSN from the University of Massachusetts and her Master’s in Public Health from Boston University with a focus in Health Policy and Management. After graduating from nursing school, Elmy joined the nursing staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She specialized in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. She eventually became the nurse-in-charge for the Medical Cardiology Step-Down unit. In 2009, Elmy received Brigham and Women’s House Officer Award for her nursing performance. During her time as a staff nurse, Elmy focused on developing programs for Heart Failure Education and Palliative Care.

In 2009, Elmy left bedside nursing to become a Senior Consultant for Quality Programs at Brigham and Women’s Center for Clinical Excellence. There she focused on facilitating hospital compliance with JCAHO Quality Measures, Leapfrog, CMS, NHQM, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and NQF. Elmy also led the BWH hospital-wide mortality review initiative by creating a web-based application that is used to review all inpatient mortalities. She received a Partners in Excellence award for her work on the mortality project.

With her previous clinical experience and work in quality improvement, she hopes to assist APP in their ongoing effort to improve patient care at our practices.
